Finished! Hexagon Baby Blanket

Remember that project I told you about, but I couldn’t show you yet?  Well, I just finished and can finally show you what I’ve been doing!

McCallBlanket1I made this baby blanket for a friend who is having a baby boy at the end of May! I’m so excited and in love with how it turned out!

Like I said in a previous post, I used the KnitPicks Brava Worsted yarn. I really liked the yarn for this blanket, and I LOVE the colors.

I also used a neat little tool online called the Granny Squares Color Pattern Generatorlove the way the random colors look, especially in this blanket, but I have a hard time doing random colors on my own. I sit there and debate and stress over which color to use next and if it looks okay. The is a really neat program that gives you a template to follow while you make your blanket. You just plug in what colors you are using and it generates a little grid. You can keep making new combinations until you find one you like best and it takes the stress out of choosing which color to use next!
